For those unfamiliar with Soventix, what is your focus within the renewable energy industry?
Soventix are involved in the development, finance, construction (EPC) and operation of medium sized photovoltaic power plants, mostly distributed power generation.
Soventix is very active in Chile: what are your objectives over the next three years?
During the next 18 months, we will implement a portfolio of PMGD projects of 150 MW for an investor. In parallel, we will establish ourselves in the market of commercial and industrial roof-top projects
What do you see as the greatest opportunities in Chile’s renewable energy sector?
Distributed power generation will be in the focus during the next years.
What market conditions are essential to the advancement of renewable energy in Chile?
No changes in the regulatory environment for PMGDs during the next years.
How do you see the Chilean market evolving over the next five years?
This depends a lot on the economic growth of the country and the possibility to sell electricity to the neighbouring countries. With positive framework conditions, the PV industry in Chile is very competitive.
